Russian attack leaves 5,600 apartment buildings in Kyiv without heating

A total of 5,635 apartment buildings in the city of Kyiv have been left without heating following a Russian strike on the night of 19-20 January. The left bank of the capital is also without water.

Quote from Klitschko: "This attack on the capital has left 5,635 apartment buildings without heating. Almost 80 percent of these are buildings where the heating supply was only just restored on 9 January."
Details: Klitschko added that as of the evening of 19 January, 16 out of 6,000 buildings had still been without heating following damage to critical infrastructure by Russian forces on 9 January.
"The left bank is currently without water due to today's [20 January] attack," Klitschko said, noting that utility workers and power engineers are already working to restore heating, water and electricity to residents' homes.
Background: Russian forces launched an attack on Kyiv on the night of 19-20 January, leaving one person injured. Klitschko said that non-residential buildings had been hit in the Dniprovskyi district.
