Ukrainian diver Oleksii Sereda named Athlete of the Year 2025 by European Aquatics

Oleksii Sereda, a Ukrainian diver, has been named Europe's Best Athlete of 2025 by European Aquatics, the European governing body for aquatic sports.

Details: Sereda capped 2025 with a career-defining run: a silver medal in the individual platform at the World Championships and three golds at the European Championships, claiming victories in individual, synchronised and mixed team events.

Sereda has been named Europe's Athlete of the Year among all divers for the second time. He first received this title in 2023.

Background: Earlier, the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine recognised Oleksii Sereda as Ukraine's Best Athlete of 2025.
