Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said the Ukrainian Air Force is not performing satisfactorily in repelling daily Russian drone attacks.

- Russian forces carried out a large-scale combined strike on Ukraine on the night of 19-20 January, launching 372 drones and missiles, with Ukraine's air defence downing 342 Russian aerial assets.
- Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov has signed an order appointing Pavlo "Lazar" Yelizarov as deputy commander of the Ukrainian Air Force. Yelizarov will oversee the development of short-range air defence.
