Russia attacks energy facility in Odesa Oblast, causing significant damage

An energy facility belonging to DTEK, Ukraine's largest private energy company, in Odesa Oblast has sustained significant damage due to a Russian attack on the morning of 21 January.

Details: DTEK noted that its crews began emergency repair work after receiving clearance from emergency workers and the military. Specialised personnel are inspecting the equipment and clearing debris before moving on to repairs.

Background: On the night of 18-19 January, a Russian attack significantly damaged a DTEK energy facility in Odesa. As a result of the strikes, 30,800 consumers were left without electricity.
