The city of Chornomorsk in Odesa Oblast has been left without electricity and heating as a result of a Russian attack on the night of 21-22 January.

Quote: "The enemy is attacking our city again. The situation is truly difficult today. The city has no power, and the boiler house is not functioning. If electricity is not restored, we will start the boiler house in emergency mode using a generator this afternoon."

Details: Huliaiev also said the water supply continues, but water to the upper floors will be provided according to a schedule that will be announced separately.

He added that the local hospital is running on generators. Schools have switched to distance learning, while kindergartens are working in shifts.

Background: Russian forces launched attack drones on the Odesa district on the night of 21-22 January. One drone hit a residential building between the 17th and 18th floors. A total of 58 people have been evacuated from the building. Oleh Kiper, Head of Odesa Oblast Military Administration, later said that a boy, 16, had been killed in the attack.
