Energy situation in Ukraine has worsened significantly, power grid on the brink

The electricity supply situation across Ukraine has dramatically deteriorated due to the consequences of Russian attacks.

Details: Dispatchers are being forced to implement emergency power outages to prevent network overloads.

DTEK noted that repair crews are working to restore damaged equipment. Repairs at some facilities are expected to be completed in the coming days, which could give grounds to expect an improvement in the situation.

Ukraine is close to a humanitarian catastrophe after months of Russian airstrikes on the energy system, and any future peace agreement must include an end to attacks on energy infrastructure.
