Shahed drones hit residential areas in Kharkiv, injuring 14 people, including pregnant woman and child – photos
Russian attack drones attacked residential buildings in the Industrialnyi and Nemyshlianskyi districts of Kharkiv on the night of 23-24 January. Apartments in a multi-storey building have caught fire, while a student accommodation housing internally displaced people, a hospital and a maternity ward have been damaged. Fourteen people have been injured, including a pregnant woman and a child.

Details: A series of explosions was heard in the Industrialnyi district. Russian Shahed drones hit residential buildings.
Quote from Terekhov: "Early reports indicated that a residential building in the Industrialnyi district had been hit and an apartment had caught fire. We also have information about another hit on a residential building. People are trapped in a five-storey building after a Shahed drone strike."
Details: As of 01:30, two women were known to have been injured and required medical treatment.
Quote from Syniehubov: "A 74-year-old woman has suffered an acute stress reaction as a result of the enemy attack on Kharkiv. A 25-year-old pregnant woman has also been injured. Units of the State Emergency Service and emergency medical teams are working at the scenes."
Update: Terekhov later reported that a Russian drone had hit a house in the Nemyshlianskyi district. The homeowner was injured and many neighbouring houses were damaged.
"A student accommodation housing internally displaced people, a hospital and a maternity ward were damaged in the strikes on the Industrialnyi district," Terekhov said.
As of 02:00, the number of injured had risen to 11.
Update at 05:35: According to the latest information, 14 people were injured in the Russian attack on Kharkiv, including a pregnant woman and a child.
Terekhov said Russian forces had been attacking the city for nearly two and a half hours, using 25 drones.
Quote from Terekhov: "Apartments were burning. Houses were burning. People were injured. There are those who lost their homes last night.
This was a deliberate strike on a peaceful city, on people who are simply living, working and raising children."
Background: Russia launched a large-scale drone attack. An air-raid warning was issued in several Ukrainian oblasts, including Kyiv and Kharkiv oblasts, and Terekhov warned residents about groups of drones heading towards the city.
