Russian forces conducted a combined strike on Ukraine on the night of 23-24 January using a mix of air-launched and ground-launched missiles as well as attack drones. A total of 396 aerial assets have been deployed.

Details: A total of 372 aerial assets were destroyed or jammed.

Hits by 2 missiles and 18 UAVs were recorded at 17 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 12 locations.

Specifically, Russia launched:

  • 2 3M22 Zircon anti-ship missiles (none intercepted)
  • 12 Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles (9 intercepted or jammed)
  • 6 Iskander-M/S-300 ballistic missiles (5 intercepted or jammed)
  • 1 Kh-59/Kh-69 air-to-surface missile (1 intercepted or jammed)
  • 375 drones (357 intercepted or jammed)

A key feature was the use of strategic aircraft armed with Kh‑22/Kh‑32 missiles to strike Ukraine's capital.

Information regarding four enemy missiles is being confirmed."

Background: Russian attack drones hit residential buildings in Kharkiv on the night of 23-24 January, injuring 14 people, including a pregnant woman and a child.
