We know that Russia's Defence Ministry plans in 2026 to put Oreshnik into large-scale production and to gain the capacity to manufacture five or more such missiles a year."

Details: Luhovskyi said that Oreshnik has "more political than military content".

Quote: "It is primarily a tool to intimidate our partners in Europe. It has questionable combat effectiveness. Oreshnik is built on last century's technologies and requires constant technical maintenance and rapid fixing of various faults."

More details: Luhovskyi also said that the Kremlin leadership is not ready for genuine negotiations to end the war and that Russia is pursuing a strategy of running down the clock.

He said that the Kremlin continues to bet on maximum advances deeper into Ukrainian territory, believing the front line and the rear could collapse.
