Ukraine's defence forces struck a number of targets in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine and inside Russia on 27 January and on the night of 27-28 January as part of efforts to reduce Russia's offensive capabilities.

Details: The General Staff said that in occupied parts of Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian forces had struck Russian personnel and a UAV command centre near Velyka Novosilka, as well as clusters of Russian troops near Shakhove and Hryhorivka.

Ukraine's defence forces also struck the Khokholskaya oil depot in Russia's Voronezh Oblast. Petroleum products are reported to have caught fire. Information on the consequences of the attack is being gathered.

The military reported that, among other targets, an ammunition depot had been struck near Nyzhnia Duvanka in temporarily occupied Luhansk Oblast, a concentration of Russian troops had been hit near Huliaipole in occupied Zaporizhzhia Oblast and a battalion command post had been struck near Berezove in occupied Dnipropetrovsk Oblast.

Ukrainian forces also struck a cluster of Russian troops in Kolotilovka in Russia's Belgorod Oblast. Russian losses are being established.

The General Staff also provided details of a recent strike on the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal in Russia's Krasnodar Krai: a fire has been confirmed over an area of around 6,200 sq m, and three storage tanks covering 10,000 sq m were damaged.
