Ukrainian Armor reveals price and details of Varta-2 armoured vehicle – photos
The Varta-2 armoured vehicle, capable of integrating a 30 mm combat module, costs UAH 20 million (about US$467,000). It is manufactured by Ukrainian Armor, Ukraine's largest private arms manufacturer.

Details: Belbas said the key feature of the Varta-2 armoured vehicle is the ability to use a combat module with a 30 mm cannon, which is not currently offered by other manufacturers of such vehicles.
"You could buy two full Varta-2s with a 30 mm combat module for the price of a standard armoured vehicle, effectively doubling firepower," he explained.
The approximate cost of the armoured vehicle is around UAH 20 million. However, the combat module is not a product of Ukrainian Armor.
"This is a solution from another company. The cost of such modules is quite high and comparable to the cost of the vehicle itself," Belbas noted.
He also said that the Varta-2 currently has no orders, as the vehicle was codified last year, when procurement plans had already been formed.
"We expect that this year, with the formation of requirements, orders will appear. Or the state will permit exports," Belbas added.
He also compared the Varta-2 with another mass-produced product of the company – the Novator armoured vehicle. Belbas noted that the Varta-2 is more powerful, while its cost is 30-40% higher depending on the configuration.
"Everything depends on the module, the turret and the machine gun. From customer to customer, these products are equipped differently," he explained.
The Varta-2 belongs to the class of heavy wheeled armoured vehicles, designed for transporting personnel and providing fire support for units in combat zones. The vehicle's design allows for the installation of different combat modules depending on the customer's needs.

- In May, it was reported that Ukrainian Armor was ready to launch mass production of the Varta-2, and interest from the military emerged even at the prototype demonstration stage. The Varta-2 combat armoured wheeled vehicle was developed in less than six months.
