Kyiv has received the first batch of generators from the city authorities and the community of Warsaw.

Details: The first delivery includes almost 60 generators. In total, Warsaw has sent 90 generators, most of them diesel-powered, with capacities ranging from 10 to 64 kW.

Klitschko also recalled that Kyiv had received 130 generators of various capacities from Poland on Monday 26 January. The funds for their purchase were raised by Polish volunteers, with almost €2 million donated by 60,000 people in just 10 days.

Background: On 29 January, Ukraine also received the first batch of energy equipment from the German government as part of an emergency winter support package, which was recently increased to €120 million.
