Kirill Dmitriev, an envoy of Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin, is expected to meet representatives of US President Donald Trump's team in Florida on Saturday 31 January ahead of a planned round of peace talks in the United Arab Emirates.

Details: Two informed sources told Reuters that Dmitriev will arrive in Miami for meetings with "members of US President Donald Trump's administration" on 31 January.

The names of the US representatives were not disclosed. It is highly likely that the talks will involve Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

- Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reported that Witkoff and Kushner will not attend the next round of talks with Russia and Ukraine, although there "might be" a US presence.
