Details: Two informed sources told Reuters that Dmitriev will arrive in Miami for meetings with "members of US President Donald Trump's administration" on 31 January.

The names of the US representatives were not disclosed. It is highly likely that the talks will involve Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

  • Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reported that Witkoff and Kushner will not attend the next round of talks with Russia and Ukraine, although there "might be" a US presence.
  • On 30 January, Trump once again said he sees a chance for successful negotiations to end the Russo-Ukrainian war.
  • Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has confirmed that Trump personally asked Putin to refrain from strikes on Kyiv until 1 February.
  • Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said that Russia has almost entirely refrained from attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure since the start of 30 January.
