Quote from Donetskoblgaz: "A main gas pipeline in the Kramatorsk district has been damaged as a result of an attack. There is a risk of gas supply being cut.
Criminal actions by Russian occupying forces may lead to a number of settlements in the Kramatorsk district in Donetsk Oblast being left without gas supply."
Details: The main pipeline was damaged on 30 January as a result of a Russian strike.
The settlements of Druzhkivka, Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka, Osykove and Kindrativka, as well as areas within the Druzhkivka hromada, could be left without gas due to the damage. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]
Quote from Donetskoblgaz: "During freezing weather the occupiers deliberately strike gas infrastructure. As a result, thousands of families may be left without gas and heating."
More details: Ukrainian charity organisation Skhid SOS urged residents of the Druzhkivka hromada not to delay deciding on evacuation given the situation and the extreme cold expected.
Quote from Skhid SOS: "The enemy continues daily devastating attacks on residential areas in these settlements using missiles, guided aerial bombs and drones. On the roads, civilian people and vehicles become targets for FPV drones."
Background: A major breakdown in Ukraine's power system has caused electricity to be cut off across large parts of the country. Experts said power supply would be restored within the next two to three hours.
