Ukrainian Railways diverts passengers to buses amid Russian drone activity near its infrastructure

The state-run railway operator Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) has recorded Russian drone activity near its infrastructure along the Zaporizhzhia-Dnipro route and has decided to transport passengers in both directions by bus.

Details: Ukrzaliznytsia said that passengers on the Lozova-Barvinkove-Kramatorsk section are also being transferred to buses using an alternative route for safety reasons.

Monitoring groups have also recorded drone activity along routes used by trains heading to the city of Sumy, prompting drivers to make precautionary stops near shelters when danger arises. Train services continue to operate.

- A monitoring team and dispatchers from Ukrzaliznytsia have restricted train traffic between the cities of Dnipro and Zaporizhzhia due to attacks on railway infrastructure and the detection of Russian UAVs near the routes.
