Quote: "Train services were suspended as a result of an emergency power outage and the loss of voltage in the capital's metro. Some trains were forced to stop in tunnels between stations.

Emergency workers and law enforcement officers helped passengers reach stations safely. In total, 481 people were escorted from the carriages."
Background:
- Kyiv metro services were temporarily suspended and escalators stopped operating after the external power supply was lost.
- A major breakdown in Ukraine's power system has caused electricity to be cut off across large parts of the country.
- The Kyiv metro later resumed services on all three lines.
