Musk says measures against Russia's use of Starlink appear to have worked

US businessman Elon Musk has said that steps taken to prevent Russia's unauthorised use of Starlink satellite internet have likely been effective.

Background:

• On 25 January, Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov, an adviser to Ukraine's Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov on technology-related matters, reported that Starlink is probably being used by Russians on Shahed attack UAVs.
• On 30 January, Musk responded to a request from Fedorov for help in addressing the problem of Russian attack drones using Starlink satellite internet.
