Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has urged the world not to stop putting pressure on Russia, which has struck a maternity hospital in Zaporizhzhia despite ongoing peace talks.

Details: Sybiha said that Russian attack UAVs hit a maternity hospital in Zaporizhzhia on 1 February, leaving three women injured.

Quote: "Putin continues his war against civilians contrary to peace efforts. Only strength can force him to end his aggression and terror. There must be no pauses in pressure on Moscow and support for Ukraine."

Background:

  • Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration said that six were people injured in this attack, specifying that two of them were women who came for doctor appointments. Several hours afterwards, another Russian attack UAV strike in Zaporizhzhia injured two women and a child.
  • Sybiha said in an interview last week that punishing Russia and Putin for war cannot be subject to compromise in negotiations.
