Russian attack severely damages heating facility supplying two Kyiv districts – mayor

On the night of 2-3 February, a Russian strike heavily damaged an infrastructure facility that supplies heat to over 1,100 buildings in Kyiv's Darnytskyi and Dniprovskyi districts, leaving them without heating.
Source: Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko
Details: Klitschko noted that experts are assessing the extent of damage to the facility and the prospects for its restoration.
He added that water was drained from heating systems in the affected buildings in the morning to prevent freezing.
Quote: "The city is setting up additional heated premises in schools within the affected residential districts. These additional premises, connected to mobile boilers, will be available day and night. Currently, there are five such points in the Darnytskyi district and four in the Dniprovskyi district."
