Details: Ukrnafta said drilling 25 new wells represented a 150% rise on 2024, when it completed 10 wells, and marked its strongest result in recent years.

Quote: "Of these [new wells], 7 wells were drilled using Ukrnafta's in-house resources, reflecting the sustainable growth of the Company's internal operational capacity."

More details: Ukrnafta reported that drilling volumes began to rise steadily after the company had moved under state management. Before 2023, new drilling remained minimal, averaging one to two wells a year.

Quote: "In fact, the number of wells drilled in 2025 equals the total drilled over the entire 2015-2022 period. At the same time, the volume of drilling performed in-house continues to grow."

More details: Ukrnafta reported the following drilling totals:

  • 2023: 6,188 m
  • 2024: 11,082 m (up 79%)
  • 2025: 18,994 m (up 71%)

Background: Ukrnafta said earlier that it planned to complete the drilling of 25 wells by the end of 2025 and begin work on seven more new wells.
