Russia attacks dog shelter in Zaporizhzhia, killing and injuring animals – photos

The Dai Lapu, Druzhe (Give Me a Paw, My Friend) animal shelter has been damaged as a result of a Russian attack on Zaporizhzhia. Many animals have been killed, and those injured in the strikes are being evacuated to veterinary clinics.

Details: Municipal services, rescue workers and volunteers are currently providing assistance to the animals on site. They are pulling dogs out of damaged enclosures and evacuating those injured to save their lives.
"There are many dead animals, many have been injured, enclosures have been destroyed, dogs have escaped … We need help – both physical and financial," the shelter wrote on its Instagram page.
Some of the animals have been taken to a veterinary clinic, where they are receiving the necessary treatment.
