Ukrainian forces mop up Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group in Zaporizhzhia Oblast village

The Ukrainian defence forces have wiped out a Russian sabotage and reconnaissance group in the village of Prydorozhnie in Zaporizhzhia Oblast where the Russians attempted to stage a "flag selfie".

Details: On 6 February, Russia's Defence Ministry claimed Russian forces had seized the village of Prydorozhnie in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.

Ukrainian forces denied the claim and released video footage showing the mop-up operation in Prydorozhnie.

Quote: "The enemy, as always, colours in its maps on tally and then, in a bid to catch up with its 'gains', sends in a sabotage and reconnaissance group to put up their rag of a flag. The outcome of such 'photoshoots' is always the same: the enemy group is wiped out and the Ukrainian flag flies over Prydorozhnie."

Details: Ukrainian military said that Prydorozhnie was and remains under the control of Ukraine's defence forces.
