Netherlands increases energy aid for Ukraine to €100 million – Ukrainian energy minister

Denys Shmyhal, Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy, has said that the Netherlands has increased its support for Ukraine's energy sector to a total of €100 million.

Quote: "The Netherlands has increased its total contribution to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund to €100 million.
An additional €35 million will be allocated."
Details: Shmyhal noted that part of the contribution will be used to install solar power systems on the roofs of buildings under the Ray of Hope initiative.
The aim of the project is to ensure electricity supply for critical infrastructure facilities after Russian attacks.
Background:
- Earlier, Shmyhal said that Norway had signed a new contribution of €86.4 million to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund.
- It was also reported that Sweden had decided to allocate US$100 million in energy support.
- France has announced that €70 million has been allocated to support projects to be implemented in Ukraine as part of the Critical Infrastructure Support Fund.
