Details: The Swiss Federal Council will supply 80 generators of various capacities and 18 gas-powered power modules at the request of the Ukrainian government.
The package also covers additional equipment and transport costs. The power modules will be connected to district heating systems in four major cities particularly affected by the energy crisis.
Some of the generators from Swiss companies have been handed over to Ukraine's Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories, which will use them as needed. Other generators and mobile heaters will be provided to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The first batch of energy aid is being prepared and is expected to be delivered as soon as possible, the government said.
