Utility services have begun work to restore the heat supply.
Background:
- The Darnytsia combined heat and power (CHP) plant in Kyiv sustained critical damage in Russia's 3 February attack, and it will take at least two months to repair its systems and equipment, provided there are no further devastating Russian strikes.
- Specialised personnel have examined the extent of the damage and compiled a list of over 1,100 high-rise buildings that will remain without heating until the plant is fully rebuilt.
