Ukraine to receive 35 Patriot missiles soon
Ukraine will soon receive 35 interceptor missiles for its Patriot air defence systems, thirty of which will be from member states of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group (also known as the Ramstein format) and five more from Germany.

Details: Pistorius made an unexpected promise to Ukraine to provide five additional interceptor missiles for the Patriot air defence systems.
Quote: "Regarding the air defence, I decided to make a spontaneous proposal at the end of our session that Germany will transfer to Ukraine five additional PAC‑3 interceptor missiles if other partner countries together deliver 30 PAC‑3 pieces. We all know it is about saving lives.
It's a matter of days and not a matter of weeks or months. So I can tell you we are on the right track."
Details: He recalled that Ukraine will need at least US$50 billion in 2026 for self‑defence.
Quote: "John [Healey, the UK Defence Secretary], Mykhailo [Fedorov, Ukraine's Defence Minister] and I, together with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, wrote a letter to our partners last week. We strongly urge all countries in the Ukraine Defence Contact Group to provide additional support."
Details: He also expressed satisfaction with the outcome of today's Ramstein meeting, particularly the €35 billion in military aid for Ukraine announced by John Healey from the countries participating in today's Ramstein format meeting.
