China is set to provide Ukraine with an additional humanitarian energy assistance package.

Details: Sybiha reported that he held a bilateral meeting with China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Munich, where the parties agreed the decision.

More details: The two ministers also discussed ways to develop mutually beneficial trade and bilateral ties based on reciprocal respect for territorial integrity. Sybiha confirmed Ukraine's interest in contact with China at the highest level.

He also briefed Wang Yi on the situation on the front line, Russia's attacks on Ukraine's energy system, and the damage Russian strikes have caused to Chinese companies.

The meeting ended with an agreement to continue contact and to arrange reciprocal visits.

Background: Sybiha said at the Munich Security Conference that Europe can no longer rely on American protection and that Ukraine must become an integral part of a new European security architecture.
