Russia attacks with Zircon hypersonic missile, ballistic missiles and drones: missile and drone strikes hit 8 locations

Russian forces attacked Ukraine using four Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles, an Iskander-M ballistic missile, a Kh-31P anti-radar missile and 62 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones on the night of 15-16 February. About 40 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions.

Details: Early reports indicated that as of 09:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed two Zircon hypersonic cruise missiles and 52 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones.
Hits by 1 missile and 9 UAVs had been recorded at 8 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 2 locations.
Information about three other missiles is being confirmed.
Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces have been involved in repelling the attack.
The attack is ongoing, as several Russian drones are still in Ukrainian airspace.
