Ukraine's Security Service comments on its 2022 raid on HQ of former military chief

The Security Service of Ukraine has acknowledged that its officers indeed visited a concealed command post of Valerii Zaluzhnyi, former commander-in-chief of Ukraine's Armed Forces, in 2022, although it insisted that no searches were conducted and that the issue was settled between Zaluzhnyi and Vasyl Maliuk, who headed the SSU at the time.

Details: The SSU said that at the time it was conducting investigative measures as part of a separate criminal case related to efforts to combat organised crime at multiple addresses.
Among the addresses in the criminal case was a location that had been established only shortly before as one of Zaluzhnyi's concealed backup command posts.
Quote: "In fact, no searches or investigative actions by the SSU took place at this address. In addition, Vasyl Maliuk and Valerii Zaluzhnyi communicated immediately and in person, and the situation was clarified."
Background: Valerii Zaluzhnyi, Ukraine's Ambassador to the United Kingdom, has for the first time spoken about tensions with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, particularly the strain that arose in September 2022 when SSU officers forced their way into the temporary military command post in Kyiv to conduct searches.
