A series of explosions were heard in temporarily occupied Crimea on the night of 19-20 February. The Belbek and Saky air bases, used by Russian forces, may have been targeted.

Details: Krymskyi Veter wrote that Russian forces had attempted to down drones near the Kacha and Belbek air bases. Meanwhile, air-raid warnings were issued several times in Sevastopol due to the threat of UAVs and Russian air defence systems were actively responding in the city of Bakhchysarai.

Local residents reported that the blasts had shattered windows in residential buildings in Sevastopol.

Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Kremlin-appointed "governor" of Sevastopol, confirmed the attack and claimed that Russian air defence, together with the Black Sea Fleet, had downed over 16 drones.

Telegram channels suggested that Russian military facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea, including the Belbek and Saky air bases, may have been targeted.

Background: Drones attacked Russia's Pskov Oblast on the night of 18-19 February, causing a fire at an oil depot in the city of Velikiye Luki.
