Ukrainian Air Force posts video of air defence operations during nighttime Russian attack

The Ukrainian Air Force Cоmmand has released a video showing air defence operations during a Russian large-scale strike on the night of 21-22 February.

"Combat operations of air defence during a combined strike on the night of 21-22 February 2026," the command captioned its video.

Background:

• On the night of 21-22 February, Russia launched a combined strike on critical infrastructure facilities in Ukraine. The Air Force recorded 345 aerial attack assets: 33 missiles and 274 UAVs were reported as shot down or jammed.
• Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that nearly 300 Russian attack drones and 50 missiles targeted the city Kyiv and the surrounding oblast, as well as Dnipropetrovsk, Kirovohrad, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Poltava, and Sumy oblasts during on night of 21-22 February.
• One person was killed and 17 were injured, including four children, as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv Oblast.
