Bipartisan resolution backing Ukraine's sovereignty introduced in US Senate

A bipartisan resolution reaffirming support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity has been introduced in the US Senate on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Details: Stefanishyna said that Senator Jeanne Shaheen (D), Ranking Member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and Senator Thom Tillis (R), co-chairs of the Senate NATO Observer Group, had introduced the bipartisan resolution, which received backing from senators from both parties.
Quote from Stefanishyna: "The document reaffirms support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, condemns Russian attacks on civilians and critical infrastructure, highlights the importance of coordination with NATO and allies as well as of ramping up financial pressure on Russia and underlines the need for reliable security guarantees to achieve a fair and lasting peace."
Background: Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said the UN General Assembly had adopted a resolution entitled "Support for lasting peace in Ukraine" with 107 votes in favour to mark the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion.
