Fires reported in two Kyiv districts after Russian attack, nine-storey residential building damaged – photos

Fires have broken out in two districts of Kyiv and a residential building has been damaged as a result of a combined Russian attack.

A two-storey house caught fire in the Pecherskyi district. Information about casualties is being confirmed.
Russian forces damaged a nine-storey residential building in the Darnytskyi district.

Update at 06:39: Klitschko reported that the blast wave damaged windows and doors in a ground-floor apartment of a nine-storey residential building in the Darnytskyi district as a result of falling debris.
There was no fire and no casualties.

Falling debris also caused garages to catch fire in the Holosiivskyi district. The fire has been contained.
A fire in a house in the Pecherskyi district was extinguished.
Update: Later, the State Emergency Service posted photos showing the aftermath of the Russian attack.
"All fires have been extinguished. No information about casualties has been received," the service added.
Background:
- Air-raid warnings were issued in Kyiv and several Ukrainian oblasts on the night of 25-26 February due to the threat of Russian drones and ballistic missiles. Explosions were heard in Kyiv, Kharkiv and Zaporizhzhia.
- The Russians used a drone to damage a five-storey residential building in the city of Kryvyi Rih, injuring one person.
- The Russians also attacked Zaporizhzhia, damaging a house, a high-rise residential building and two shopping centres.
