North Korea holds parade for "Kursk veterans" who fought against Ukraine

Ukraine's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has described a military parade in Pyongyang featuring "Kursk veterans" as a propaganda show and warned the international community about the dangers of cooperation between North Korea and Russia.

Quote: "They may appear proud, yet there is nothing to be proud of.
What is missing from this propaganda charade are at least 6,000 North Korean soldiers who did not march in Pyongyang that day. They croaked in an illegal war of aggression eight thousand kilometers away, which they had nothing to do with.
It is critical for the entire world to realise that Kim does not supply this cannon fodder for free; in exchange, he receives concrete and dangerous support from Putin."
Details: According to Tykhyi, the situation should concern every country in the Indo-Pacific region. He also confirmed Ukraine's readiness to work closely with partners to counter the shared security threats arising from deepening cooperation between Moscow and Pyongyang.
Background: On the evening of 25 February, North Korean special operations forces and engineering units that had taken part in Russia's war against Ukraine in Russia's Kursk Oblast marched through Pyongyang carrying the Russian tricolour during a military parade marking the conclusion of the 9th Congress of the ruling Workers' Party of Korea.
