Qatar says it has repelled Iranian air attack

The Ministry of Defence of Qatar has reported that Iranian aircraft, missiles and drones were shot down.

Quote: "Qatar Emiri Air Force successfully shot down two (SU24) aircraft coming from the Islamic Republic of Iran. They also successfully intercepted seven ballistic missiles through air defences, and intercepted five drones by Qatar Emiri Air Force and Qatar Emiri Navy Forces, which targeted several areas in the state today."
Details: The ministry added that the threat was addressed immediately after detection and that "all missiles were shot down before reaching their targets".
Residents and visitors were urged to remain calm, follow official instructions issued by security authorities and rely solely on information disseminated through official channels.
Background: US President Donald Trump said he had not expected Iran to retaliate by striking Arab countries in the region, including Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, calling it the "biggest surprise" following US strikes.
