Russia attacks Ukraine with 155 drones, air defences intercept 136 UAVs, 8 locations hit

Russian forces have attacked Ukraine with 155 drones since the evening of 4 March. Ukrainian air defence has managed to intercept 136 of the UAVs, though hits have been recorded at eight locations.

Quote: "On the night of 4-5 March (from 18:30 on 4 March), the enemy attacked [Ukraine] with 155 Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas and other types of drones launched from the Russian cities of Bryansk, Kursk, Millerovo and Primorsko-Akhtarsk as well as Hvardiiske and Chauda in temporarily occupied Crimea. About 100 of the UAVs were Shahed loitering munitions."

Details: Aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare assets, unmanned systems units and mobile fire groups from Ukraine's defence forces were involved in repelling the attack.

Early reports indicated that as of 08:00, Ukrainian air defence forces had destroyed or jammed 136 drones.

Hits by 18 UAVs have been recorded at 8 locations and the fall of downed aerial assets (debris) at 3 locations.
