Quote: "Since the start of 2022, this is the third time our windows have been blown out like this. But it's the first time on this scale. There is a huge amount of damage. Not a single classroom has been left undamaged."

Details: Karina Kruk lives opposite the school. When the first strike hit residential buildings, she woke up and later a staff member called her to report damage to the school.

She said more than 160 windows were damaged along with almost all the emergency entrance doors.

In the morning, she and the caretaker began clearing up and preparing to open an invincibility centre. Counterparts from other schools and kindergartens in the city joined them later. [Invincibility centres are heated premises stocked with food and power banks to assist residents facing hardships due to power cuts – ed.]

Quote: "All our counterparts in the city came to help. Every educational institution – kindergartens and schools – is involved. It seems impossible to list everyone who came to help us. Probably up to 200 people for sure."
