UK posts footage of its military repair workshops in Ukraine for first time

The UK has revealed for the first time its defence workshops in Ukraine used to repair military equipment.
Source: official website of the UK government
Details: Footage of the workshops was posted by Luke Pollard, UK Minister of State for Defence Readiness and Industry. He said the sites operate under contracts with the UK Ministry of Defence and employ both Ukrainian and British workers.
Four military repair workshops are already operating in Ukraine and another is planned. The UK government said the workshops' location helps return equipment to the front more quickly.
Quote: "These facilities repair armoured vehicles and equipment – including UK-gifted CVR-T armoured vehicles, Husky support vehicles, L119 light guns and former Soviet-era kit, returning them to Ukrainian forces faster."
More details: The sites also repair UK AS-90 artillery systems and can service Sweden's Archer artillery systems.

Quote: "From the factory floor to the frontline, the UK is standing with Ukraine. Our pioneering facilities are helping keep Ukraine's defiant Armed Forces in the fight against Putin's brutal attacks, and British firms are boosting long term industrial production in Ukraine and partnering with Ukrainian companies to benefit both our nations."
More details: The ministry said the UK has provided Ukraine with more than GBP21.8 billion (US$29,2 billion) since Russia's full-scale invasion.

Background: It was reported earlier that in November 2025 the UK Defence Ministry confirmed it had transferred all 99 AS-90 self-propelled artillery systems still in service to Ukraine. The UK also said that it will open a Ukraine Business Centre in Kyiv later this year to help British defence start-ups supply more military equipment to Ukraine.
