Ukrainian forces hit a Russian Pantsir air defence system and a boat

Ukraine's defence forces carried out a series of strikes on Russian military targets, hitting in particular a Pantsir-S1 air defence system in occupied Crimea on the night of 7-8 March.

Details: According to the military, a BK-16 landing boat was also hit there. The scale of the damage is currently unknown.

The General Staff added that Orion UAV command posts were struck in Crimea, Russia's Belgorod Oblast and in the occupied territories of Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk oblasts.

Among other things, the General Staff reported strikes on Russian command and observation posts in Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk oblasts.

Background:

• On the night of 7-8 March, the Atesh underground resistance movement destroyed an electric locomotive in the Russian city of Bryansk despite the reported tightening of security at the site.
