The new prime minister of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten, has arrived on his first visit to Kyiv.

Details: Jetten said on the afternoon of 8 March that he was in Kyiv and had visited one of the courtyards where a strike occurred during Russian attacks. As seen in photos, the site is on Vasylia Kuchera Street, where a Russian missile destroyed an entire section of a residential building.

Details: The Dutch prime minister added that a meeting had been arranged with Ukrainian emergency workers who deal with the aftermath of strikes.

Zelenskyy said that they together honoured fallen Ukrainian defenders at the Wall of Remembrance.

Background:

  • On 28 February, newly appointed Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen and Dilan Yeşilgöz-Zegerius, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, arrived in Kyiv on their first visit.
