Over 8,000 Ukrainians brought back from Russian captivity in four years of war

In the four years since the start of Russia's full-scale war, Ukraine has brought 8,050 Ukrainians back from Russian captivity through more than 70 exchanges.

Details: The Coordination Headquarters noted that "there is still a great deal of difficult, often unseen work ahead, and we will not stop until we have completed it".
Background:
- President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in February that around 7,000 Ukrainian prisoners of war are currently held in Russian captivity and just over 4,000 Russians in Ukraine.
- On 5-6 March, 500 Ukrainians were brought back from Russian captivity to Ukraine under agreements reached in Geneva.
