Russian attack on Chernihiv Oblast kills 15-year-old girl – photos

A 15-year-old girl has been killed and her parents injured in a Russian attack on the Mena hromada in Chernihiv Oblast on the night of 11-12 March. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Details: The post from the council said that the Russians had conducted the attack at around 01:00.

A 15-year-old girl was killed and her parents were injured in the attack. Two houses were damaged.

"Police officers and rescue workers are working at the scene. Efforts to extinguish the fire and provide treatment to those injured are ongoing," the council added.

Update: The State Emergency Service later said that the fire had broken out after a Russian UAV fell. A house and an outbuilding caught fire.

"Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze. Sadly, a 15-year-old girl was killed. Her parents were injured and taken to hospital. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided help to six people," the service said.
