Russia summons UK and French ambassadors over Ukrainian attack on Bryansk

The Russian Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassadors of the United Kingdom and France on 13 March to lodge a protest after Ukrainian forces used Franco-British Storm Shadow missiles to strike the city of Bryansk on 10 March.

Details: The ministry stated that during the démarche, the direct involvement of the UK and France was cited in "this act of terrorism, which resulted in seven deaths and over forty injuries".

"It was emphasised that, if London and Paris continue to be complicit in the Kyiv regime's war crimes, these European capitals will bear responsibility for the destructive consequences of the armed conflict and the escalation of tensions," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The ministry also said Moscow regards the strike on Bryansk as a "deliberate provocation aimed at undermining intensified efforts to peacefully resolve the Ukrainian crisis."
