The attack damaged a diesel locomotive that had been in use due to a power outage in the overhead line network.

Kuleba added that a Russian drone had also struck a station in the Kryvyi Rih district the night before, damaging a locomotive. The crew had been evacuated in advance so there were no casualties.

Background: A drone struck a train travelling from Kyiv to Sumy on the morning of 8 March in the Sumy district while up to 200 passengers were on board.
