A Russian drone struck a suburban passenger train travelling from Smorodyne to Vorozhba near Sumy on 14 March. The passengers were evacuated.

Details: Kordon.Media reported that a Russian drone, identified as a Geran-2, struck the Smorodyne-Vorozhba train at around 17:00 on Saturday.

The drone hit the locomotive at the rear of the train, the prosecutor's office told Kordon.Media.

The incident occurred near the village of Novoselytsia in the Verkhnia Syrovatka hromada. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

Early reports indicate that no one was injured. The passengers were evacuated to a safe place.
