Ukraine's General Staff: Defence forces strike Russian air defence system in Bryansk Oblast

Units from Ukraine's defence forces struck key Russian military targets as part of efforts to reduce the offensive potential of the Russians on 16 March and on the night of 16-17 March.

Details: In particular, a Tor-M2U anti-aircraft missile system was reportedly hit near Klintsy in Russia's Bryansk Oblast. Strikes were also recorded in an area where a missile division of the Russian Black Sea Fleet's 15th Separate Coastal Missile Brigade – equipped with Bastion coastal missile systems – was deployed near Verkhnokurhanne in temporarily occupied Crimea. In addition, a Russian communications hub was hit near Manhush in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Oblast.

Among the Russian military logistics facilities, a fuel and lubricants depot in Melitopol was struck, along with ammunition depots in the areas of Stepne and Terpinnia in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhia Oblast. A UAV training centre near Henicheska Hirka in the temporarily occupied area of Kherson Oblast was also hit.

Furthermore, the Ukrainian defence forces units struck Russian UAV command posts in the areas of Huliaipole and Obratne in the temporarily occupied area of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, as well as a cluster of Russian personnel near Chasiv Yar in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Oblast.

The scale of the damage inflicted and Russian losses are being confirmed.
