Zelenskyy begins visit to Spain, set to meet prime minister and king

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday began a visit to Spain with a stop at the defence company Sener Aerospace&Defence.

Details: Zelenskyy is visiting the facility to see its equipment and production. Ukraine-Spain defence agreements are due to be signed in his presence.
At 11:30 local time, the Ukrainian president is scheduled to meet Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez. Bilateral agreements will be signed at 13:00 in the presence of both leaders, followed by a press briefing.
At 15:00, Zelenskyy is set to meet with Francina Armengol, Speaker of the Congress of Deputies (the lower house of the Spanish parliament), and Senate Speaker Pedro Rollán. At 17:30, he will meet King Felipe VI.

- Zelenskyy's visit to Spain comes a day after his trip to London, where he and UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer signed an Enhanced Security and Defence Industrial Collaboration Declaration.
- Ihor Zhovkva, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, has said that the signing of the Declaration effectively establishes a defence alliance between Ukraine and the UK.
