Ukrainian special forces hit base of Russia's secret Rubicon drone unit in Donetsk – video

Ukraine's Special Operations Forces (SOF) used mid-range drones to carry out a series of attacks on Russian assets in occupied Donetsk Oblast on the night of 17-18 March.

Details: In Donetsk, long-range drones operated by the SOF struck a base belonging to the secret Russian Rubicon centre for unmanned technologies and its command-and-control component. The attack also struck a coordination centre for Russian unmanned systems in the temporarily occupied city.

The Ukrainian forces also hit ammunition depots, matériel storage facilities as well as sites for accumulation and distribution of ammunition in the settlement of Vilne in temporarily occupied Donetsk Oblast.

Notably, members of Ukraine's underground resistance movement contributed to the success of this series of strikes.
