Russians attack Sumy Oblast in morning, killing three and injuring nine – photo

Three men were killed and nine people injured in Russian attacks on border areas of Sumy Oblast on the morning of 19 March.

Details: Hryhorov said a Russian drone attacked the Velyka Pysarivka hromada, injuring a 62-year-old resident. The man died before medics arrived. [A hromada is an administrative unit designating a village, several villages, or a town, and their adjacent territories – ed.]

"Early reports indicate that there are also casualties following enemy attacks in the Khotin and Vorozhba hromadas. This information is being confirmed," Hryhorov added.

The Sumy Oblast Prosecutor's Office reported that a Russian UAV struck a civilian car in the Vorozhba community at around 09:10, injuring two men aged 64 and 65.

Update: The Sumy Oblast Prosecutor's Office later said that Russian drones attacked civilian infrastructure in the Khutir-Mykhailivskyi hromada at around 10:30, killing two brothers aged 33 and 37. Another local resident, a 54-year-old man, was injured.

Later, Hryhorov reported that three people were killed and nine injured as a result of the Russian strikes on the morning of 19 March.

In the Okhtyrka district, a 55-year-old local resident was attacked by a Russian drone and sustained serious injuries.

In the Esman hromada in the Shostka district, Russian forces conducted an attack using a guided aerial bomb, injuring four people: two men aged 69 and 61 and two women aged 50 and 73.

In the Khutir-Mykhailivska hromada, two men aged 54 and 40 were also injured.

In addition, on 19 March, a 69-year-old man who had been wounded two days earlier in the Khotin hromada was taken to hospital.
